'Prison Break' producer joins 'Detroit 1-8-7'

Exclu: ABC has signed executive producer/director Kevin Hooks to its upcoming crime drama "Detroit 1-8-7."

He will executive produce and direct at least two episodes.

The UTA-repped Hooks was executive producer of the Fox hit "Prison Break" for four seasons; he also exec produced and shot the pilot for ABC Family's "Lincoln Heights."

"Detroit" will air at 10 p.m. Tuesdays in the fall after the "Dancing With the Stars" results show.
