TBS Cancels Comedy Series 'My Boys'

TBS has opted not to renew quirky comedy My Boys for a 5th season, making the fourth season finale which aired on Sunday in actuality the series finale. The show from Sony TV and creator Betsy Thomas never became a ratings hit but developed a devoted cult following. While the odds of it continuing were considered long, My Boys and its cast were showcased prominently at Turner's upfront presentation in May, and TBS and TNT's programming chief Michael Wright stressed back then that he would seriously consider picking up the comedy for another season if it did well in the ratings in Season 4. Unfortunately, it didn't. The show's fourth season has averaged 942,000 viewers in live+7, down 19% from season 3. In adults 18-49, it drew 635,000, down 23%. Also unfortunate is that, because of My Boys' summer run and uncertain future, its stars Jordana Spiro and Kyle Howard had to pull out of their newly picked up NBC series, Love Bites and Perfect Couples, respectively.

Question: Have you seen the House premiere? If so, thoughts? —Robin
Ausiello: Yes, I’ve seen it—it’s the reason this column arrived a little late. If you’re a Huddy fan, you’re going to swoon yourself silly. The Sept. 20 opener features the star-crossed lovers cuddling, bathing, massaging, champagne-toasting, and—of course—kissing. I think I counted a dozen smooches in the first 15 minutes alone. The episode will also answer the burning question “What does Hugh Laurie look like wearing nothing but a laptop?”

Question: Should we read anything into the fact that Chase is touching Thirteen’s shoulder in House‘s season 7 key art? —Nina
Ausiello: After watching the premiere, I would have to say HELL YES, YOU SHOULD.

Question: How does House’s team—specifically Chase, Taub, and Foreman—react to House and Cuddy being an item? —Brandon
Ausiello: To quote Dr. Crankenstein in episode 2, one is “in favor,” another is “indignant,” and a third is “indifferent.” Now head to the comments and match the adjective with the character! But first, repeat after me: “Games are fun.”

Question: Is the “S” on Lois’ chest in the Smallville picture you posted Photoshopped on, or is it on her in the actual episode? —Mike
Ausiello: It’s on her in the actual episode.

Question: I, for one, am pulling for Jennifer Morrison to get that role on How I Met Your Mother. When does the character first appear? Any scoop on the premiere? —Dave
Ausiello: Ted’s new love interest—who (BREAKING NEWS!!) will definitely be played by Morrison—is slated to show up in episode 5. As far as the premiere goes, it’s (a) very old-school HIMYM—i.e., ridiculously funny and incredibly moving—and (b) twisty as hell! I don’t think it’s giving anything away to say the biggest curveball involves the return of Rachel Bilson’s Cindy.

Question: Please give us scoop on the season finale of My Boys. Are we going to get any hope for P.J. and Brendo? —Funmi
Ausiello: That’s negatory. By the end of the Sept. 12 finale, P.J.’s in a pretty happy place with Bobby. The future is also looking bright for another Boys duo. Are those wedding bells I hear?

Question: How serious are things between Booth and that new girl on Bones? —Catelynn
Ausiello: That new girl has a name—Hannah. Show some respect. And to quote Booth in the Sept. 23 premiere, their relationship is “as serious as a heart attack.”

Question: So these new Bones promos have me super-excited for the new season (and more than a little bit heartbroken for Brennan), but I’m confused: Is Hannah going to show up in the premiere, or in episode 2? —Amy
Ausiello: You mean that new girl? She shows up in episode 2.

Question: Will we see more of Parker on Bones this season? —Brianna
Ausiello: Mini Booth actually plays a pivotal role in the opener, as he’s essentially the reason Big Booth returns home from Afghanistan. (And yes, you will actually see him.)

Question: Got a Bones scoop? I’m such a good girl. —Galle
Ausiello: My fave moment from the premiere involves Brennan and Daisy channeling their inner action heroines—well, it involves Brennan channeling her inner action heroine while Daisy suffers a series of mini strokes on the sidelines.

Question: We haven’t gotten any Fringe intel in forever. Please say you have some! —Jennifer
Ausiello: I have some!

Question: Any news on what will happen to Castiel on Supernatural this season? —Minha
Ausiello: This season’s first two episodes will be Cas-free, but the full-powered angel returns in spectacular fashion in week 3. “Let’s just say some angels show up that are not so happy,” teases exec producer Sera Gamble. “Cas and an angel go through a window at one point, and the result is not pretty. It’s a pretty spectacular stunt.”

Question: You’ve given us great scoop about the final (shed a tear) season of Friday Night Lights, but one thing remains unanswered: Are we going to be lucky enough to have Minka Kelly return for a few episodes? Riggins putting her on the bus with a soulful “Goodbye, Lyla Garrity” is not enough closure for me. —Becky
Ausiello: Well, it was enough closure for exec producer Jason Katims—and he’s the boss! “I thought her final episode was so powerful,” says Katims. “We talked about bringing her back, but I didn’t really feel like anything we came up with beat the [Tim-Lyla] story in that episode, which I thought was really poignant. It wasn’t a happy ending, but it was a really satisfying ending for me. It was a satisfying resolution to that story line.”

Question: Do you have any scoop on that proposed Heroes telefilm to wrap up loose ends from last season? —Josh
Ausiello: THIS JUST IN: Production on the Heroes reunion pic will officially get under way…probably never.

Question: Give a Blair fan one reason to watch Gossip Girl this season! —Karen
Ausiello: The train-station-set reunion scene between Chuck and Blair at the end of episode 2 is stunningly shot and impeccably acted by Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester. Need another reason? ‘Cause I got a ton!

Question: Gossip Girl scoop? —Lisa
Ausiello: By the end of the second episode, the question you (and everyone else) will be asking yourself is “Who the hell did Serena piss off?”

Question: Please tell me Mozzie is not dead on White Collar! —Vin
Ausiello: Mozzie is probably most likely not dead.

Question: Glee returns in two weeks! Got anything new? —Timothy
Ausiello: The show wastes no time showing off Chord Overstreet’s, um, impressive body of work. When we first meet his possibly gay football-jock character, Sam, in the premiere, he’s in the shower singing “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” For his part, Chris Colfer believes that scene is proof positive that Sam will not turn out to be Kurt’s BF. “After seeing the episode, I feel like it’s not going to happen because all the girls are going to fall in love with him and they’re not going to want to see [him with Kurt],” he says. “And I don’t want to be the guy girls hate. I’m the gay guy the girls love. I don’t want to become the target. I don’t want the letters that say, ‘Kurt needs to get off our man. Stop kissing our boyfriend.’ Young girls can be vicious. I don’t want to know how Kristen Stewart feels. I don’t want to be the Bella of the Glee world. I like being the guy everyone likes.” Colfer adds that there’s no sign of romantic tension between Sam and Kurt in the first four episodes. “Maybe it is too obvious,” he theorizes. “Our writers have a way of avoiding the obvious and throwing curveballs.” BONUS GLEE SCOOP: Someone’s going to the slammer!

Ausiello: According to Terri’s portrayer, Jessalyn Gilsig, it’s “definitely not” true. Gilsig does confirm that the former Mrs. Schuester will “get into a relationship of some kind that brings her around the glee club and the school, but I’m not at liberty to say who.” Guesses? Ausiello: Ian Harding (hottie English teach Mr. Fitz) just got his hands on the script for the first episode back in January, and he offered this tease: “They’re not wasting any time with some reveals and secrets and juiciness.”

Question: I have not seen anything on season 2 of Justified. Got any scoop on that? —Carolyn
Ausiello: Production resumes in mid-October, and newly minted series regular Walton Goggins tells me “the pendulum will swing in a completely different direction for Boyd, and religion may receive his ire. He may become an agnostic vigilante, [but] I won’t say against who.”

Question: It’s less than a week until Life Unexpected returns. Surely you have scoop! —Laura
Ausiello: The three new characters I told you about previously are introduced in the Sept. 14 premiere, and one of them has a not-so-surprising connection to a main character. Bonus scoop: Bug and Lux consider taking a big step forward in their relationship, but something happens to trip them up.

Question: Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey were shooting a Grey’s Anatomy scene at the courthouse! Please, Ausiello, tell us if Mer-Der are going to make that Post-it legal! —Amber
Ausiello: A Grey’s insider confirms to me exclusively that you’re as high as a kite.

Question: I’m pulling overnight shifts, so I think in all fairness you should give some Parenthood spoilers, please. —Amanda
Ausiello: Lauren Graham’s Sarah will be caught in a workplace love triangle with a hunky blue-collar forklift operator (True Blood‘s Kevin Alejandro) and Adam’s wealthy white-collar business partner (Billy Baldwin). “She has to make a choice between the two of us,” says Alejandro, before adding with a laugh, “Does she want money or just rugged good looks?”

Question: Can I get a Mad Men spoiler? —Derek
Ausiello: Assuming he submits last week’s flawlessly written and acted Don-and-Peggy-centric episode, Jon Hamm will be the first Mad thesp to win an Emmy next year, beating out fellow nominees Kyle Chandler, Steve Buscemi, Hugh Laurie, Michael C. Hall, and Peter Krause. Mark my words.

Don't kill the messenger, but Frank has only got googly eyes for his ex-ladylove, who we'll meet in tonight's episode. And unfortunately for Ali, Frank makes the choice to rekindle the flame with said ex, then head to Tahiti to fill in the Bachelorette. Boo to the hoo, right?!

Beth in Maine: Please tell me there was more Lost-related chatter from your Michael Emerson interview!
As a matter of fact, Michael was happy to talk about the end of Lost and how fans have been impacted by the way it wrapped up. "I was thrilled and proud of the finale, and especially delighted in the way my character was wrapped up," Michael said fondly. "And the fans that I've run into I think we all feel a sense of brotherhood, like we've gone on this arduous journey together." Well said, brotha.

Jackson in Seattle: Got anything fun on Sons of Anarchy? I'm so excited for that show to return.
The fourth episode of Sons of Anarchy's third season is titled "Home." Let's guess what that might mean: (1) Jax gets his son back, safe and sound; (2) Gemma returns from her temporary life on the run; (3) Ummm, any other ideas?

Adam in Fontana, Calif.: I miss Modern Family. How's the second season coming along.?
It's not coming along quite yet! The gang starts shooting again Aug. 2, but we just spoke to Emmy nominee (and one of our favorite funnymen) Eric Stonestreet, and he revealed his one hope for Modern Family's season two. "It's gonna be incredible to go back and see the kids and celebrate with them," he said. "Hopefully Lily knows our names—she's had some time to practice her words. But it's in our contract, so Jade and Ella better know Eric and Jesse!"

Theresa: Kristin, I'm so glad you're back from vacation! Where'd you go? And when will Tater Top Awards end?
You have only a few more hours to vote, so do it now right here! As for vacay, it was absolutely dreamy thanks to the kind people at Esperanza Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It's quite honestly the most heavenly place I've ever been, and I highly recommend it for a thoroughly relaxing vacation. I know what you're thinking: Relaxing with a 1-year-old baby...Say whaaa? But my own San "Luca" loved it, too, and it was an awesome time all around. Even if you're staying elsewhere in Cabo, check out their restaurant, El Restaurante. My husband and I might need to renew our vows just to be able to have a reception there cause it's so purrrty. That's completely rational, right?

Monica: Please, some good Gossip Girl news! I heard that Clémence (Eva) is going to be a series regular. Please say that's not so! I want hope for Chuck and Blair.
Here's the teensy bit of hope I can offer: I'm told Clémence Poésy is not a series regular for the coming season. I'm also told that Blair does not have a new love interest in the works. So maybe that's...something?! In other news, you know those photos of Dan and Serena pushing around a stroller? I hear that's Dan's actual baby! I'm still in shock they're going through with that storyline...You? Should be Crazytown.

Sorry to break it to ya, but don't think that smooch in last season's finale led to a full-fledged relationship over summer break. We spoke with show runner Brad Falchuk who told us this upcoming season they'll be exploring, "What does Will look like as a single guy, for real?" Also standing in their way? A little guest star you may have heard of named John Stamos and Will's ex-wife Terri, who yes, is still in love with everyone's favorite Spanish teacher and determined to win him back. Burt in Indiana: Have you seen the premiere of Project Runway yet?
Get this, we have and it's good. Even better, the premiere has a little twist: You'll meet the contestants in the beginning of the ep, per usual, but they're not really contestants yet! We'll give you a second to process that 'dun-dun-dun!' Once the gang arrives in New York, they'll be given five hours to put together a look and the worst of the worst will be sent packing, failing the last phase of the audition process. Side note: The new 90-minute format feels a little long.


Joe in Costa Mesa, Calif.: I am seriously loving this season of True Blood! I'll take any scoop you've got!
How about some Bon Temps body count intel? Director Scott Winant tells us: "This season the fewest actors die. I killed my share, but compared to season two, not as many." Are you referring to that freaky head of hair, or the whole "I own my son!" thing? Let's go with the latter. Without revealing too much, we'll say that the Mickens family has a means of income and it involves pimping out their youngest son, so to speak. Forget Liam. Annie's found a sexy new mature man, and it's all because of some spilled coffee. Thanks to a little run-in with a sexy stranger, Annie is going to find someone she has a lot in common with (theater geek, anyone?), but unfortunately, at least initially, Naomi's ex will stand in the way of a little lovin'. Oh, and did we mention that this guy might just be related to Mr. Liam?

Yikes, how are you gonna deal when the end of the series comes? Don't answer that. We're not ready either. Thankfully, the final two episodes of this season are remarkable, so hopefully that'll tide you over until season five starts. The controversy with Tami's advice to Becky reaches a breaking point, and the school demands a public apology. But she didn't do anything wrong, you insist? Well, Tami agrees.

Brant in Rockford, Ill.: The Riggins Brothers on FNL are just begging for trouble with that chop shop. Just tell me it works out in the end!
You think life in Dillon ever works out smoothly for anyone? Especially not for the Riggins brothers. Sorry to tell you buddy, but there are some rough roads ahead for Tim and Billy. But the silver lining to that is seeing Taylor Kitsch in some of his best acting in the series. And that's saying something.

Bobby in Downers Grove, Ill.: What's this I'm hearing about Burt Reynolds on Burn Notice?
It's mustache mayhem when the iconic actor guests this week on Burn Notice! Burt Reynolds steals every scene as a hilariously out-of-touch retired spy targeted by his Cold War Russian enemies. While Michael Westen guards the old-timer (aka his "Ghost of Christmas Future"), Fi and freshly burned spy Jesse (Coby Bell) confront his old boss (Richard Kind, Curb Your Enthusiasm's Cousin Andy). Jesse gets closer to the truth...while Fi and Michael grow farther apart. Sadface.

Gregory in Houston: Please tell me something about Bones.
Get ready to see some of Tamara Taylor's great acting chops when Bones returns. Cam sets up an on-air interview and unbeknownst to her, the journalist only intends on grilling her about an ongoing, and very sensitive, investigation. And without revealing the case at hand, let's just say things get ugly very quickly.

Hank in Boise, Idaho: I'm really digging Rookie Blue. What's coming up?
Andy finds herself in some serious danger this week when she and a fellow rookie are the first on the scene of a violent crime. She's eventually left to fend for herself, which ends up being an eye-opening experience.

Rest assured, Eliot's hair will continue to be luxurious and shiny. Oh, you want more scoop than that? Then prepare for a romp in the great outdoors, courtesy of Eliot and Hardison, the latter being less than thrilled about being away from his precious electronics. Franco becomes a doctor! Well, sort of. He slips into the white coat to sneak around the hospital, so that kind of counts. And get ready for a pretty intense and sexually charged scene that involves plumbing. And in no way do we mean that figuratively.

Lisa in Hollywood, Calif.: I love that Tommy is trying to stay sober on Rescue Me. Does it stick?
What do you think? He definitely wants to stay clean, especially now that Father Phil (Peter Gallagher) is all up in his grill about getting his act together. But by the end of the episode, after an awkward conversation in his home, Tommy might find the bottle to be his only friend.

May in St. Louis: I'm kind of curious to see how Joe Jonas does on Hot in Cleveland. Got any scoop on his character?
He'll be playing Will, Melanie's son, and it's safe to say at first look, their relationship is not exactly smooth. ""It's typical. I'm on my phone a lot, kind of distracted, doing my own thing," Joe tells us. "She wants to get close to him, but it's kind of hard." Kids today with their texting and tweeting and whatnot. Valerie Bertinelli also adds that Joe has an "adorable scene" with the always flawless Betty White. Maybe he serenades her? Fingers crossed.

Joe in San Francisco: I'm so excited for My Boys to come back! What can you tell us about the first episodes back?
How about one of my favorite moments with the gang I've ever witnessed? In an upcoming episode, someone makes brownies that have a certain extra ingredient. What would be a typical stoner storyline turned into something simply awesome because of the unlikely victims of the fun brownies. Trust, it makes for some crazy hilarious scenes, and you don't need to be baked to enjoy them.

Lacey in Omaha: My Boys returns this week! Got scoop?
Check out our favorite single duo, Mike and Brendan, suiting up in one of the early episodes. Seriously, Barney Stinson would be proud. Like usual, they're trying to pick up girls. Unlike usual, they do it in an entirely classy way. Too bad they run into the others at the bar, and we can't promise the girls stick around after that unfortunate meeting.

According to series star Rebecca Creskoff (Lenore), the Hung season-two finale is a shocker: " Big cliffhanger! There was one version of the finale that was very tied up and they were like, 'Oh no, no, unravel that!' So that was good."

Ausiello: She’ll be the next best thing to a series regular: a recurring guest star. (That noise you hear is Morgan fantasizing about their awkward first date.)

Question: Will Jessalyn Gilsig be a regular on Glee next season? I absolutely love Terri, but I fear I’m the only one! —Rion
Ausiello: You’re not the only one. I like Terri. But more importantly, series creator Ryan Murphy likes Terri — and he proved it by picking up her series-regular option for season 2 (albeit at a slightly reduced guarantee). Well, technically speaking, Twentieth Television picked up her option, but I’m sure Murphy had a hand in it.

Question: Castle scoop, pretty please? —Becca
Ausiello: When the show returns this fall, promotion for Castle’s new book, Naked Heat, will be in full swing. Of particular interest to Beckett will be the provocative image depicted in the posters, which will be splashed throughout the city.

Question: Is it true that Damages has been canceled? —Nancy
Ausiello: Sources at FX and Sony insist they’re still talking to DirecTV about acquiring the show. My guess? This is how the conversation is going…

High jinks ensue. It’s very funny.”

Question: Is Patricia Wettig (Holly) leaving Brothers & Sisters? I sure hope not, because I love me some Holly and Nora scenes. —Nathan
Ausiello: All I know for sure is that Holly survives Carmageddon. That’s a lie. I also know that she plays a pivotal role in daughter Rebecca’s impending departure. “The way that Rebecca is going to be leaving is very exciting,” teases exec producer David Marshall Grant, “and it involves not just Justin but her mother. It’s a great story.”

Question: Any Brothers & Sisters scoop? —Ben
Ausiello: Grant all but confirms that Kevin and Scotty will eschew surrogacy for foster care when they take in a homeless teen this fall. “We’re casting a Hispanic kid who is going to be very prominent in Kevin and Scotty’s story this year,” he tells me. Additionally, Grant is on the lookout for an actor to play a possible suitor for grieving widow Kitty. “She has a ways to go before she’s really going to land on a boyfriend,” concedes Grant. “But men will certainly play a part in her life as she moves past the tragedy. We are actually looking for somebody right now that she’s going to meet around episode 3.”

Question: Any summer guilty pleasures you’d like to recommend? —Nick
Ausiello: I finally got around to watching Starz’ Spartacus: Blood and Sand and it’s officially my new crack. I’m seven episodes in and I’m hooked. But “I’m excited to see who it winds up being. A lot of people have brought up Lynda Carter — Wonder Woman — which fits into the whole sci-fi/fantasy geek thing our show has going on.” However, the actor thinks the erstwhile Diana Prince looks like “Sarah Lancaster more. Two beautiful brunettes.” Unfortunately, EP Josh Schwartz pretty much ruled Carter out when he told me, “[Lynda's] an icon as an actress and is someone who fits the show’s universe…but not necessarily for this role.”

Maybe Bill will find a sympathetic ear in Richard Dwyer, the Majority Leader of the Utah State Senate and a new recurring character? On second thought, not likely, eh?

Ausiello: It’s official: The Katie Cassidy-Leighton Meester deathmatch is on! Exec producer Stephanie Savage confirms that Cassidy’s new vixen will tangle with several characters, including the show’s reigning beeyotch, Blair. “When we had the idea for the role we knew there was going to be a really short list of actresses who could actually stand up to Blake and Leighton on the screen,” says Savage. “And Katie felt like a great choice.”

Ausiello: I warned you it would go down as the most, ahem, twisted sex scene in television history, didn’t I? Anyway, Kevin Alejandro — who goes back to work on Southland in October — says we’ll “be seeing more of Jesus” on True Blood. “I come back in the fifth episode, then you see me pretty regularly from there to the finale.” And, erm, a lot of him. As things heat up between Jesus and Lafayette, he says, “I promise it gets racy.”

Ausiello: Silly question, Kim. And here’s a serious answer: yes. By season’s end, our plot will thicken so much, it’ll damn near solidify. For starters, Emily’s dad is about to come home and get a big shock from his little girl. Plus, Agent Wilden’s “bad cop” will soon get a “good cop” counterpart, a lady Fed who sounds like a Diane Lane dream role. And we’re about to start spending more time at the bank where Ashley works – at least enough to delve into her desperate financial situation and meet her 30ish boss.

Question: With all these crazy casting changes going on at Brothers & Sisters, do you know what the deal is with Balthazar Getty? Is he returning? —Anthony
Ausiello: I’m told ABC is currently in talks with Getty about how big a role he’ll play next season.

Question: I’m really happy that so many of the original cast members are coming back for the final season of Friday Night Lights. But what about Minka Kelly (Lyla)? —Isabellea
Ausiello: No plans for Minka to return, but if it’s any consolation Jesse Plemmons has officially signed on for the finale!

Ausiello: I started that rumor, and with good reason: Freeman was among the returning series regulars listed in the CW’s upfront press release. Cody in Fresno, Calif.: I'm hearing good things about FX's new series Louie. What's your take on it?
Think Seinfeld, only darker! Parks and Recreation's Office Dave Louie C.K. is not, but that doesn't mean he's not a hoot. The format of the series takes a little getting used to, but it's part standup (with bleeped out words and everything!), part scripted show acting out the rants Louie is on. The verdict: Tune in and decide for yourself is Louie is your cup o' tea. We're just hoping he heads back to Pawnee to swoop Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) off her feet again.

George in Michigan: Alright, give it to me straight. What's the deal with Sam's little brother on True Blood?
What, you mean little ol' Tommy? He's harmless—in the sociopath, crazy-person sorta way! Marshall Allman, aka Sam's little bro Tommy, is in it for the long haul this season, and a source tells us he intends on "bringing Bon Temps to its knees." Sounds fun, right? "I go in and have a lot of fun," Marshall tells us. "There's not an impulse that I don't act on. I'm tons of fun. And then I'll take your wallet, [and] I'll also steal your girl." Yes, we're hearing some girl-stealing is afoot. Any guesses as to which lovely lady Tommy might have on his arm? Hands off Sookie, L.J., or we'll tell your Dad! (A little old-timey Prison Break humor brought to you by Wentworth's abs.)

Julie in Toronto: True Blood, please.
Marshall tells us he'll be around well into the "shocking" season finale, and that even though he'll do some pwetty tewibble things to Bon Temps during his stay (yep, he's moving in!), don't judge too quickly. "People will see that I have a heart, but they're just going to be frustrated that I'm not being who I was meant to be," he says, "I suffered a lot of dysfunction, and I just need a lot of love." Sources have also revealed that Tommy might be working to Sam at Merlotte's soon enough, so watch out for that, 'cause that seems to be where all truly terrible people end up at one time or another. (Note: Hands off Arlene, too, buddy. She's with child.)

Marybeth in Laurel, Md.: Anything good coming up for Tara on True Blood?
That depends on your definition of good. Rutina Wesley tells us our ever-troubled bartender "is gonna struggle with this vampire lover named Franklin Mott. He's very psychological and very hard. So this relationship is not necessarily by choice." Probably not your definition of good, huh? One thing you don't have to worry about? Tara becoming a vamp herself. "Probably not," she says. "I love being human. It's like I'm one of the only humans on the show!"

Neil in Santa Fe, N.M: Please tell me that Holly will be back on The Office next season! Michael needs his other half.
How about I promise that another ex will be back? Is that the same? No? Well, take what you can get because Jan is about to be all up in Dunder Mifflin, er, Sabre next season. "I am going to be back," Melora Hardin happily tells us. "I'm going to be doing a guest starring thing next year." A guest starring thing? Perhaps that means more than one episode, but whatever it means, we hope this thing involves another inappropriate baby shower. Also, since we now know Steve is serious about leaving The Office, can we please get Holly Flak back ASAP?!

Justin in Commack, N.Y.: Is there a chance Elizabeth Banks will be returning to 30 Rock this season?
We went straight to the big-time fancy movie star herself for the answer and here's what she had to say: "You would think I'll be back. I am knocked up, for sure by Jack Donaghy on the show so you'll have to wait and see." A vague, non-committal yes? We'll take it!

If you're curious about those Ari Gold marital woes, let's break 'em down: Ari's agency is now the biggest thing in Hollywood, thus no time for the wifey. Also, Autumn Reeser is back and doing big things for the company—except Mrs. A only sees her as that girl who slept with the family friend last season and misinterprets her relationship with the big boss man. Gabby in Mississippi: Entourage is back! What's coming up?
Before Scott Caan pops up in fall's crazy good Hawaii Five-0, he'll continue to make E's life miserable on Entourage. And not just 'cause his character is a big bad word." Vince and I get to be friends a little bit," Scott tells us. And yes, jealousy ensues. Secret Life's Megan Park also pops up in Sunday's episode with some not-so-suitable for ABC Family language.

Eddie in Sioux Falls: Hung is my favorite show. Anything juicy to reveal?
Not that these two have ever been the happiest of couples, but Ronnie (Eddie Jemison) and Jessica (Anne Heche) are headed for some tough times this season. Jessica is going to accidentally agree to have a baby with the doc (who does that?!), then attempt to back out of the deal on top of the fact that she has a budding friendship with her ex, Ray (Thomas Jane). How will Ronnie react? "He embarrasses his wife in front of hundreds of people publicly," he reveals, possibly at a sporting event, so keep your eyes peeled!

Eric in Long Island: What is the deal with My Boys?! Is it really over or will it be saved now that Jordana Spiro is out of Love Bites?
Although NBC and the Love Bites producers love Jordana, I'm told her casting on the show was always in second position to TBS' My Boys. So the producers took a risk but knew that if TBS didn't release her from her My Boys contract, they'd have to let her go. I'm told they don't yet know if they'll recast Jordana (it's shot like Love Actually, in vignettes, so her story might just go away or be reshot), and I'm also that there's still a teensy-tiny possibility Jordana will appear on Love Bites in some capacity later on. TBS says they just don't know yet about a fifth season for My Boys since the fourth season hasn't begun airing yet. It premieres July 25.

Jody in Boston, Mass.: Thanks for the story about My Boys returning. It's a favorite of mine! Can you tell us more about this upcoming season?
How about some extreme heart-stopping action scenes? Well, kind of. Unless you think falling down when trying to seduce your onscreen boyfriend is extreme sports. Jordana Spiro sure does: "I would say the biggest challenge I had was I had to do a couple of pratfalls in Christian Louboutin 7-inch heel shoes," she says. "That was a challenge but a really fun one." But...the Louboutins are safe, right?

Leslie in Chicago, Ill.: Super bummed that Jim Gaffigan isn't on this season of My Boys. Please tell me it's still funny without him.
According to the first three episodes back, hell yes! We get to find out how the gang met in a flashback episode, which means seeing P.J., Stephanie (Kellee Stewart), and Brendan (Reid Scott) in straight up '90s college mode. Plus, Rachael Harris joins the cast as a love interest for Mike (Jamie Kaler), and you just can't go wrong with her.

Brynn in New York City: After that 90210 finale, I need a reason to keep watching. Got anything for me?
When we return to West Beverly, Annie and Liam will be fighting those lovey-dovey feelings they've pretty much always had for each other. Liam's over Naomi and all that drama-rama, but Annie's determined to keep a clean conscience and steer clear of whatever happened between the two this summer. I'm guessing hot hookup. You?

Former Melrose Place vixen Katie Cassidy is headed way across the country for her next CW gig, joining the cast of Gossip Girl. Do I ever! But it will burst your Piper/Chris hookup bubble, so gird your loins. Chris Gorham says that while Auggie "takes Annie under his wing" right from the get-go, the prospect of a romantic pairing is not in the cards for these two. At least not yet. "There's a real connection. And it's definitely a big part of the show," Chris tells us. "I think when they first met, he kind of assumes that they're going to hookup. But the relationship with her for some reason quickly moves past the casual hookup and into a real friendship." Aw, BFF necklaces for everyone!

Richie in Sacramento, Calif.: Rescue Me is back! Please tell me that Tommy lives!
What? You didn't hear that the writers decided to do this season without Denis Leary? Oh, I kid. He's gonna be fine. Well, let me rephrase it. Tommy is going to make it, but I can't promise he'll be fine, per say. Check out his freaky hallucinations after getting shot and make the decision for yourself. Purgatory or just emotional trauma from the shooting?

Trish in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario: Rescue Me premieres this week and I think we deserve some scoop.
Oh, is that what you think? Do you also think poor Tommy is going to get all kinds of sympathy after his brush with death via gunshot? Nah. Pretty much the whole first episode back is an ode to how much everyone is pissed off at Tommy. Of course, there's also the issue of firehouse 99 being thisclose to getting shut down. Tommy to the rescue? Perhaps.

Teresa in White Plains, N.Y.: Are Jack and Allison finally going to hook up for realz in season four of Eureka?
Um, remember that heartbreaking alternate timeline in Eureka's first-season finale when Sheriff Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) and Allison (Salli Richardson-Wakefield) were married with a baby on board? The opening of season four involves another Jack and Allison time-travel hookup. This time they both remember their encounter, but as usual (sniff) circumstances conspire against them—and everyone else involved in their blast to the past. As new castmember James Callis (Battlestar Galactica) told us, "It's a reset button for this series...it's exactly the same and everything's different. Everybody in the show now has things that they can't quite cope with." At least Jo and Fargo finally got the promotions they deserve (and how!).

Marc in San Diego: Any details on the new season of Warehouse 13?
Like Eureka, time travel is also the theme (it is Syfy, after all!) of Warehouse 13's second-season premiere. Instead of retrieving an artifact, the team is after a person: original time-traveler H.G. Wells (Dexter's Jaime Murray). She (it is Syfy, after all!) has been released from the Warehouse by Artie's (Saul Rubinek) nemesis, MacPherson (Roger Rees). Will they ever defeat this guy? Yes. Soon. The beautiful Wells, however, will probably be back to torment the agents.

Allison in Cleveland, Ohio: Friday Night Lights scoop, if you please.
Coach Taylor is on the wrong side of the tracks in this week's episode. After a dangerous altercation that leaves you screaming at your TV for Eric's safety (not that I did that or anything), he decides to get a sketchy park cleaned up. And Kyle Chandler continues to be awesome as he deals with the whole Tami/Glenn kiss sitch. Hilariously awkward scenes FTW!

Jordana Spiro exits 'Love Bites'

Jordana Spiro has fallen out of Love Bites, NBC’s upcoming romantic anthology series from Sex and the City scribe Cindy Chupack.

Spiro’s involvement with the buzzy Bites (which also stars Ugly Betty vet Becki Newton) has been the subject of much speculation given the fact that she’s still contractually bound to TBS’ My Boys. Although the odds appear slim that TBS will renew the show for a fifth season (season 4 premieres July 25), it was a risk NBC apparently wasn’t willing to take. It’s unclear if her role will be recast.

The Peacock faces a similar dilemma with Spiro’s My Boys costar Kyle Howard, who is one of the leads of NBC’s new comedy Perfect Couples.

Question: This House fan thanks you for posting that awesome Huddy picture! This House fan is also going to be greedy and ask you what else you know about the season premiere? —Julia
Ausiello: A fellow Trojan tipped me off that Hugh Laurie and Lisa Edelstein were on the USC campus Tuesday night shooting “some Huddy-ness.” Added the anonymous bystander: “They were kissing, hugging, and hand-holding. It was a fangirl’s dream come true. She had on the same outfit as in the beach pictures.” Speaking of those cutesy beach photos, series creator David Shore tells me that all may not be as it seems. “What the image depicts is rather different from what you’re going to experience when you watch the episode,” he reveals. “They’re [at the beach], but it’s not Beach Blanket Bingo.”

Question: I heard a rumor that David Anders will be a regular next season on The Vampire Diaries. Please tell me that it’s true! —Addison
Ausiello: I would if I could, but I can’t. But here’s something I can confirm: Anders will definitely be in the season premiere.

Question: There’s a rumor that Weeds‘ sixth season [premiering Aug. 16] could be its last. True? —Jeff
Ausiello: If it is, no one bothered to tell Mary-Louise Parker, although the actress concedes, “That’s not really up to me. That’s up to [Showtime]. I love doing the show. The only thing that’s tough for me is I live in New York and it gets harder to pick up and move when your kids get a little bit older. But I love doing the show.” In other words, she’s game for a seventh season…provided “they don’t fire me,” she says with a laugh. “You never know what’s going to happen on this show.”

Question: I may be the only person in TV land who actually watches it, but can you give me any My Boys scoop? Is it still on? Has TBS canceled it? —Kim
Ausiello: TBS has not canceled it — at least not yet. A fourth season is already in the can and set to premiere on July 25. A fifth season, meanwhile, remains a question mark. Equally uncertain: what the heck star Jordana Spiro will do if it does come back, seeing as she already hitched herself to NBC’s Love Bites. My guess? Boys will return to mediocre ratings and TBS will announce in early August that season 4 will be the show’s last. And for the record, Kim, you are not the only person in TV land who watches the show. Question: Any scoop about the fourth season of My Boys? —Kim
Ausiello: Um… On second thought, Kim, maybe you are the only person in TV land who watches the show. (Anyone else besides Kim watch My Boys? Shoot me an e-mail at ausielloscoop@ew.com.) On the scoop front, Jim Gaffigan’s departure will be addressed within the first few minutes of the season 4 opener. Of course, the big question is who will fill in for Andy at the poker table. And here’s the big answer: *t*p*a*i*!

Question: Love reading your column! You are witty, I follow your tweets, etc. Now could you please share any scoops on The Closer? —Linda
Ausiello: The second most important rule of Ask Ausiello: When showering me with compliments, don’t end with an etcetera. It’s critical that you list each and every reason you worship me. The more specific you are the better. Capisce? Now here’s your scoop: A resignation will rock the department at the end of the season 6 premiere on July 12.

Question: Anything on the new season of Hung? —Lauren
Ausiello: Feeling insecure about her role in their “operation,” Tanya seeks out help from a higher power: a more experienced pimp, played by Jericho alum Lennie James. Bonus scoop: Crossing Jordan‘s Kathryn Hahn will also appear in the first few episodes as a (very pregnant!) client of Ray’s.

Question: Any scoop on Make It or Break It? —Susan
Ausiello: Lauren’s long-lost mother is about to be found. The show is searching for an actress in her 40s to play Lauren’s recovering-drug-addict mom, who shows up hoping to rebuild a relationship with her daughter.

Question: Throw your international readers a bone and tell us what the big Friday Night Lights spoiler was in last week’s Entertainment Weekly. Not everyone can go out and buy the issue on the newsstand. —Matt
Ausiello: Fair enough, Matt. The spoiler concerned the final episodes of season 5 and a possible reunion between (wait for it) Riggins and Tyra! “Riggins is getting out of prison and Tyra is on break from school,” explains exec producer Jason Katims. “We’re looking at [them] reconnecting.”

Question: I’m desperate for some scoop regarding the new seasons of Friday Night Lights and Dexter. —Sean
Ausiello: Coincidentally, I’m desperate to unload some scoop on both those shows. FNL is casting the role of a “winning and charismatic” president of a non-Texas college (to meet with Riggins, perhaps?), while Dexter is looking for an actor in his late 40s to play an internal affairs agent at Miami Metro (to investigate Dex, perhaps?). Oh, here’s another FNL scoop-bit: Kyle Chandler will be playing coach on screen and off. Sources confirm that Chandler will direct his first FNL episode next season.

Question: Is there anything that you can tell us about my new favorite show Community? — Seth
Ausiello: Only that I think it’s NBC’s new favorite show, too. How else to explain the network’s decision to devote an entire night of programming to Joel McHale’s super-silly comedy? On Thursday, July 8, the Peacock will air a six-episode Community marathon from 8 to 11 p.m. And we’re not talking about just any six episodes. We’re talking about the best six episodes of the show to date: “Intro to Statistics,” “Romantic Expressionism,” “Modern Warfare,” “Physical Education,” “Contemporary American Poultry,” and “Debate.”

Question: Some friends and I are making an impromptu road trip to New York City this weekend. I realize you are probably too busy to meet with some lowly fans, so can I at least get some 30 Rock season 5 details? —Collin
Ausiello: Yeah, um, sorry, I’m actually even too busy to get together with uppity fans, never mind the lowly ones. But here’s your 30 Rock scoop: We’ve probably seen the last of Julianne Moore — and heard the last of her Boston accent. “It seems like she has bowed out of the Jack race because of [Avery's] pregnancy,” she notes with a sigh. “But I hope in some way she gets to come back. If they asked me, I’d be there in a second” — Beantown patois and all. “I went to school in Boston and worked with a lot of guys from Dorchester, so that’s where [the accent] came from,” she explains. “We made it thick…for humor’s sake, but then again, not really. There are folks with seriously heavy accents there, and they are proud of it.” And if you didn’t like it, Collin? “That’s what TiVo is for,” she laughs. “You can just rewind if you miss something!”

Question: Any spoilers on season 6 of Supernatural? —Shira
Ausiello: I hear the show’s fourth episode back — the one directed by Jensen Ackles — will be Bobby-centric and feature a character named Marcy Ward. Described as attractive in a down-to-earth/woman-next-door way, Marcy is a capable homemaker with a crush on her neighbor.

Question: I know you’re a huge fan of Parenthood. Care to share some scoop on it? —Callie
Ausiello: We’ll meet Adam’s boss in season 2. The recurring role is being cast as we speak.

Question: Season 3 has barely started, but I am dying for some True Blood news. Got any to share? —Kelly
Ausiello: Exec producer Alan Ball teases that a big secret Bill’s “been carrying with him gets revealed at the end of the season.” That noise you hear is the sound of me dipping into the Ausiello Files archives and going Hmm…

Question: Have you received confirmation from Alan Ball that Talbot and Eric will get, ahem, down to business on True Blood this season? —Rob
Ausiello: No, but I haven’t received a denial from him, either. “I think one of the things about being a vampire and living for 100 years is you pretty much try everything,” Ball says. “Whether or not [Talbot and Eric] end up getting together I can’t reveal. I’ll definitely tell you that this season is pretty pansexual.” Yeah, got that bit from the first two episodes.

Question: Do you have something on Bones? I don’t care what, just something? —Margo
Ausiello: Series creator Hart Hanson announced yesterday via Twitter that the “tentative, penciled-in, maybe, unlocked title for [episode] 1, season 6, is ‘The Gorilla in the Room.’” But that’s not the big news. This is the big news: Sources confirm to me exclusively that the title of episode 2 is “Their Arms Around Each Other.” What does it all mean?! Hit the comments with your theories!

I can't wait to see how the new season of Fringe goes down. What have you heard? — Martha
MICKEY: As it did in Season 1, the Fringe division will have an in-house adversary, a powerful government official who thinks Agent Broyles gives his team far too much latitude. Her actions will complicate things for Walter & Co., who will already be burdened by the secret sabotage of Nolivia (the "over-there" Olivia).

Can I have some Addison-and-Sam Private Practice scoop, please? — Jamie
ADAM: Well, series star Kate Walsh is thrilled by the coupling, but she hopes the new season will show the pair's happier moments. "You get to play the tension... [but] we didn't have time in the season to really explore the friendship and how much fun they have together," Walsh says. "They're really two people who enjoy each other and it's fabulous for them to make the decision to go for it."

How are True Blood's werewolves different than shifters? — Lila
MICKEY: They're definitely similar, but werewolves are a bit more ambitious. For example, they fought in World War II... just not on our side. Details! Look for an Eric-and-Godric flashback about these cani-Nazis, which will probably confuse you once you find out who employs Bill's kidnappers.

Got any teasers for the new season of Criminal Minds? — Meg
ADAM: The premiere will answer all the cliff-hanger's questions, in particular how and why Tim Curry's character started taking lives. "He's really the most prolific killer we've ever seen. He's done this his entire life," co-executive producer Erica Messer tells us. "The premiere will have to revisit and say, 'We know it's all about the dark, but why? Where did he start?'"

I can't wait for April and Andy to hook up on Parks and Recreation. Please tell me it'll happen soon. — April (really!)
MICKEY: A&A will definitely spend more time together next season. First, they'll work together, both at Pawnee Town Hall... and elsewhere. Later, they'll share a late-night snack of olives and cherries. It's more romantic than it sounds.

When will Rescue Me be back? Did Tommy survive the gunshot? — Karen
ADAM: The boys of 62 Truck suit up again on June 29 at 10/9c. As for Tommy's fate, I'll say only this: The opening moments of Season 6 depict Tommy's vision of the afterlife. Meanwhile, the men in the firehouse will be in big trouble with FDNY brass because of the shooting.

Please tell me that Entourage will be good this season. — Berto
MICKEY: It certainly sounds promising. Eric and Sloan are still engaged. Turtle finds some measure of success — and a girlfriend — after a fortuitous trip South of the Border. Meanwhile, Ari is in legal trouble. Quick story: I have an attorney friend who keeps a list titled "Ari's Actionables" — everything Ari says or does that could prompt a lawsuit against him. My friend counts at least four per episode. So is it really a surprise that Ari's getting sued?


Any other guest stars planned for this season of Californication? — Parker
ADAM: You may have heard that Rescue Me's Callie Thorne will guest-star as a single mother who tempts Hank. But the show is also looking for an actress to play Charlie's new real estate agent and eventual lovah.


So if this season of Royal Pains is the "summer of love," when will Evan have some fun? — Marisol and Dave
MICKEY: Pretty soon. "We are going to be introducing a character toward the middle of the season who's not quite the type you'd imagine for [Evan]," executive producer Andrew Lenchewski tells us. "Something is going to develop between them in a fairly unusual way, and then to start evolve into a more romantic relationship." In possibly related news, we'll also meet Divya's sister, who tolerates her arranged marriage the old-fashioned way: She cheats!

What's happening in the new season of My Boys? — Lorena
ADAM: Now that everyone knows that Kenny (Michael Bunin) and Stephanie (Kellee Stewart) are hooking up, this season will explore the oft-bickering couple's relationship out in the open. But don't expect them to be lovey-dovey. "He still gets on my nerves," Stewart tells us. Adds Bunin: "I don't think we lose a step as far as us insulting each other as much as we can; we're just officially dating." Also, Xosha Roquemore from Precious will play Stephanie's sister.

Nancy's dating a bartender this season on Weeds? Not sure I like that idea. — Calvin
MICKEY: Nancy is on the run, which means she has to lay low. Besides, who says the bartender will be her only beau? I'm hearing about another blue-collar type who'll rev her engine as well. But I'm guessing you're not going to be crazy about that idea either, Calvin, you big snob!

Loved the Breaking Bad finale, but it made me wonder: Will Jesse ever discover Walt's role in Jane's death? — West
ADAM: Series creator Vince Gilligan says that while the show touched on the truth in the Season 3 episode "Fly," the complete revelation probably won't come out for a while. "It's the elephant in the parlor," he says. "If Jesse ever found out, I can't even imagine what the consequences would be. I think it would be in our endgame for the series. It does seem to me the series will perhaps be incomplete if Jesse never finds out about Walt's secret."

Adam's Mega Rave: Give Aaron Paul an Emmy already. His heartbreaking performance in Breaking Bad's near-perfect finale capped a season chock-full of complex character growth. He's a huge part of why Breaking Bad is the best show on television.

Recipes? The finer points of sock-drawer organization? OK, people I know the TV season is over but there are some good shows to talk about so fine! I'll just make up my own questions this week.

Wanda Two Saints.: Kristin, you're so pretty. If Idina Menzel returns to Glee next season, any chance her hubby, and fellow Broadway star, Taye Diggs will join her? And if so, can Fox cast you as the third party in their love triangle?
We just chatted up Taye and asked him the exact same question—and Spoiler Alert—he's onboard! "I would love to do it," Taye gushed at the prospect of guest starring on Glee. "I love the show; I'm a straight up fan. It's so enjoyable to watch and to see a show for people who to sing and dance. Plus, I love how they integrated Idina into the show, and I would love to be a guest." Ryan Murphy, Shonda Rhimes, are you guys hearing this?! Clearly, we need a Glee/Private Practice crossover.

Kristin Dos Santos: I'm so glad you loved the Glee finale as much as I did! Do you know if Jonathan Groff will be back?
I'm hearing that producers "definitely want him back" at some point, so yay! My bet? He'll show up as the new coach of Vocal Adrenaline, or an assistant coach now that Shelby has a newborn at home and can't spend so much time devoting herself to kids who can't even look like they can cure cancer. By the way, Ian Brennan (the writer/exec-producer who writes most of Sue's awesome lines) saw my Tweet on finale night ["I think we all learned a valuable lesson tonight: Purell up so you don't catch poor. #JaneLynchForEmmy #GleeWritingForEmmy"] and emailed me: "So glad you liked it. Finale is my favorite episode. And get that baby immunized against poor." Don't think I didn't already book an appointment with my son's pediatrician.

Mrs. Veitch: Hi Kristin, I'm your biggest fan. What's the word with My Boys? Is that coming back soon?
Good news for My Boys fans: P.J. and co. will be back on July 25! The not so good news? Stars Jordana Spiro and Kyle Howard both have new shows (Love Bites and Perfect Couples, respectively) that are coming out this fall. That doesn't exactly scream renewal possibilities for My Boys. But hey, we'll be talking to Jordana next week, so if you have any questions for her and/or desperate pleads to keep My Boys alive, you know where to put them.

And now all joking aside, some real questions from you fans...

Edwin: Any update on your scoop that ABC is working on a new Alias? And by the way, that Pick Your New Fave thing was so bogus because JJ's new show wasn't there. What gives?!
The Alias idea is just that for the time being—an idea. I'm told it most likely would be a complete reboot and not include any of the original cast (though something tells me if Jennifer, Bradley, Victor or Michael wanted to take part, they wouldn't be kicked out of the casting session). As for JJ's new show Undercovers, it did rank as the second most anticipated NBC show, so that's something! JJ himself tells me it's a "very different show" from Alias. "It's definitely in the same genre," JJ says, "but it's much more a throwback to like the Hart & Hart days of like, really light and fun kind of breezy romantic sexy type show. It's not heavy mythology at all." No Rambaldi?! Damn! I actually just got a copy of the pilot so I'll be watching that tonight.

Rebecca in Ipswich, Mass.: What new fall shows are you liking the most that you have seen the full first episode of?
You can see the one show you all are most looking forward to here. And update: We just added the full rundown of how all the new shows ranked in each network. I haven't seen everything yet but I definitely loved Hawaii Five-O and The Event, which is why it might be the death of me personally that they are up against each other on Monday nights. Proof God hates me.

Greg in Philadelphia: Are you a fan of 100 Questions?
It's a cute little summer show, but what I'm really digging is 100 Questions' David Walton (Wayne), and in a few weeks we'll actually get to see how Charlotte (Sophie Winkleman) those meant-to-be maybe lovebirds met in a flashback episode.

Jacquie in Portland, Ore.: Have you seen Boston Med yet? As a doctor, I'm wondering if I'll enjoy the show.
Speaking as the highly educated medical professional I am, you'll love it. It's Grey's Anatomy minus McSteamy, but with a whole lotta high octane real-life (and life threatening) drama. It's raw, but not too gritty. Just imagine you're getting a regular check-up with your doc...and there's a camera crew there, too. It's like that, and actually very cool. I say give Boston Med a-go.

Michael in Baltimore: Any new news on Dexter? I can't wait for it to return!
In addition to Julia Stiles' mysterious Dexter gig next season, the Showtime staple has signed both Shawn Hatosy and Maria Doyle Kennedy to multi-ep arcs in season five. Maria gets the privilege of playing little Harrison's new Irish nanny—hmmm, what about Cody and Astor?! And strangely enough, Shawn's "complex character" that "forms a unique relationship with Dexter" received a description nearly identical to Julia's. Coincidence?

Peter in Gainsville, Fla.: With The Event coming out this fall, is Jason Ritter done with Parenthood for good?
Obviously if The Event has as much success as it should (trust me!), Jason's time on Parenthood will be few and far between. Still, he wants it out there that he did not abandon the lovely Lauren Graham. "Hey, first of all, she broke it off with me," he jokes. "That door is not necessarily closed because we're both NBC shows, so I hopefully can do both. Maybe some crossover episodes." Having seen The Event pilot, something tells me that's not a very real possibility.

Deirdre: On True Blood, is Jason Stackhouse going to get a new love interest this season?
According to Ryan Kwanten, yes! And it sounds pretty serious. "She may just stick around for a little while" Ryan tells me.

Reginald: I need to know more about this True Blood sex shocker that is so twisted. Who does it involve?
You learned one half of the party here and the other half, who will be revealed in the third episode, has this to say about it: "It was actually the most shocking thing that I've ever read in a television script. My jaw dropped on the floor when I read it and thought, 'Oh my god, I actually have to do that.' Here's your script, pray that your parents will be okay when they watch this episode. They may not want to. It was a little uncomfortable, but we got through it and I'm working with the best people from the writers to the producers to the other actors and at the end of the day, I'd rather be on a show that's provocative and pushes the envelope than one that doesn't."

Maureen in Fresno, Calif.: How is Jason going to recover on True Blood this season after killing Eggs?
As you saw in last night's premiere, Jason Stackhouse and Officer Andy have a plan. Unfortunately, things aren't going to unfold as neatly as expected—particularly when Andy becomes the town hero for offing "serial killer" Eggs, and Jason's left dealing from some serious guilt, and not just emotionally. Says the superdelish Ryan Kwanten: "There may be something on top of that, because [Jason's] mental faculties aren't quite all there to start with."

Tom in Wis.: Is Sam ever going to be happy on True Blood? He always gets the short end of the stick!
Based on the first three episodes, our guess was no, Sam will never, ever find happiness. Sigh. But lucky for you shapeshiftin' lovahs, Sam Trammell tells us: "Yes, you will see Sam happy. Momentarily."

Kelly in Toluca Lake, Calif.: Please tell me we won't be seeing Bill's maker Lorena again on True Blood for a very long time.
I wish I could, but sadly the wackadoodle Lorena will be making a very unwelcome return to True Blood this week. And per usual, she's piling on the drama superthick. Luckily (sorta) for Bill, this lights a fire within—operative word being fire.

Gretchen in Scottsdale, Ariz: Thank jesbus for Friday Night Lights or my summer TV watching would be dismal. Can you give me any scoop?
FNL will continue to be awesome, that's for sure. This week, we'll see the Landry/Vince/Jessica storyline develop a bit more, which means more Landry for everybody! And that's always a good thing. Another person who always needs more screen time and certainly gets it this week: Tim Riggins. Enjoy a series regular Taylor Kitsch while you still can, folks.

Tena in Quincy, Ill.: Friday Night Lights fan here! Please give me any scoop you have!
How about some excellent scenes between Julie and Tami coming up? I love me some Connie Britton, and when she takes her daughter on a road trip to tour some colleges, awesome-ness ensues. On a more somber note, Tim is about to make a discovery about his brother Billy that will eventually lead to some seriously crappy situations for our Riggins bros.

Julia in Cleveland, Ohio: Anything fun coming up on The Bachelorette?
Ready to hear the vocal stylings of Mr. Kasey? No?! Well you better be because mid-solo date with Ali tonight, Kasey breaks into song simply to show the Bachelorette just how much he cares. Yes, this does make Ali laugh out loud (as did we!), but it's sweet nonetheless, and Kacey's strong feelings toward Ali ultimately lead to showdown with soon-to-be scandal bringer, Justin.

Brett from Los Gatos, Calif.: So glad Lie to Me came back last week. What do you have for me?
Is it just me, or has Tim Roth's accent gotten thicker? Hmmm. Coming off an intense episode last week, the Lightman group does not get a break from the crazies with this week's case. The gang has to investigate a bombing that nearly kills Eli, and an IRA terrorist from Lightman's past is suspect numero uno. Warning: the scenes between Roth and guest star Agnus McFayden equals heavy accents that might make your brain hurt.

Jeff in Las Vegas: The Good Guys, please.
Ever wonder what you could do with $3.52? If you're part of The Good Guys gang, you can bring down a drug smuggling ring, duh! Poor Dan (Bradley Whitford) lets his rough interrogations tactics get the better of him, he's forced to solve a crime on the money in his pocket—that amount being, you guessed it, $3.52.

Miller in Fontana, Calif.: No Entourage in the Spoiler Chat for weeks. Help!
We do have some scoop, so let's hug it out, bitches. According to Kevin Dillon, aka badass big bro Johnny Drama, things are Entourage as usual this season. "Drama still has no lady," says Kev. "His focus is really just on getting a job. Maybe he'll meet a girl later. Who knows?" Plus, this season boasts the reunion to top all TV reunions. "You're going to see tons of Ari and tons of Lloyd, too. They're back together!" he promises. We'll be on the red carpet at the premiere of Entourage this Wednesday, so start sending Q's our way now!

Benji in Long Island, N.Y.: I know it's not one of your normal WWK shows, but do you have any info on The Hills finale? I'm really sad it's ending.
You and me both. OK, not really, but I do have a li'l something to help tide you over. The Hills' queen bee Kristin Cavallari tells us the cast is getting sad, but ready for the end. "I definitely think it's time story-wise," she says. "Everyone's ready to move on. We have another month of shooting, so now we're all getting along and having the best time. But it's ending at a good time and we're going to go out on a high note."

Britney from Playa Vista, Calif: I'm really looking forward to The Real L Word. Is it going to be a reality show worth watching?
According to the first two episodes, absolutely! Not only do we get a full cast of different characters with real jobs (take that, Hills people!), but the opening of the series includes some fairly brutal honesty about when the girls first realized they were gay. And I'd keep your eye on Mikey. She's got a feisty attitude, and seeing her go off on some dumb models is the premiere episode is pretty awesome. We're looking forward to more from her.

Aside from all the "A" dramz, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) is going to continue actively pursuing her big sis Melissa's (Yep, that is Paul Wesley's galpal and One Tree Hill's psycho Nanny Carrie, Torrey Devitto) fiancé, Wren. The repercussions will be pretty brutal for Spenc when Melissa discovers their secret.

Gina in Boise, Idaho: Sad to see you gave Huge a "pass" in your E! News piece, but since I'm still planning on giving it a try, what can you tease?
To be fair, I gave it a pass in reference to some other seriously good summer TV, but it could definitely pick up after the first few episodes. We'll have to see. As for a good tease, I'll say this: In the premiere, one girl can't hack it at camp and not only continues binge eating, but demonstrates signs of a dangerous eating disorder that results in her dismissal.
