Between ABC's coverage of the NBA Finals and Barack Obama's presidential address pushing the entire broadcast schedule, Tuesday night's reality lineups appear to have taken a hit in the ratings. Numbers across the board are approximate until nationals come in later today.
ABC won the night with Game 6 of the Boston Celtics at LA Lakers drawing a 12.3 overnight household rating, giving ABC a nightly victory for every game that's aired so far. The Lakers win forces a Game 7 that will air on Thursday -- only the third NBA Finals seventh game in the last 22 years, assuring ABC a large audience that night.
Fox was in second place with a two-hour "Hells Kitchen" (5.8 million viewers, 2.7 preliminary adult demo rating), down 16% from last week's one-hour edition. NBC tried "Losing It With Jillian" (7.6 million, 1.4) at 8 p.m. instead of 10 p.m. this week. The reality show was joined in progress after the presidential address, and was down 33%. "America's Got Talent" (7.6 million, 2.9) dropped 22%. CBS aired repeats.
