Hal Holbrook joins NBC's 'The Event'

Emmy winner Hal Holbrook has booked a multi-episode arc on NBC’s promising new serial thriller The Event, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Holbrook—who just finished shooting a recurring gig on the current third season of Sons of Anarchy—will play a mysterious character by the name of Dempsey.

The Event premieres on Sept. 20.
