Some notable TV castings from the last couple of days:

-- Lou Diamond Phillips has joined Lifetime's untitled Josh Berman pilot. The project, from Sony TV, is a closed-ended drama set in San Diego, which centers on police detective Molly Collins (Sherry Stringfield), married mother of two on the verge of divorce, who, along with her partner Brooke Kross (Jamie-Lynn Sigler), investigate the city’s most high-profile crimes while navigating their divergent personal lives. Phillips, who most recently recurred on Stargate: Universe, will play their boss, a police lieutenant.

-- Dylan Baker has been tapped for a key role on USA's Burn Notice. He will appear in the fourth season finale and is rumored to possibly recur next season. Baker will play Max: no stranger to the corridors of power, Max is a brilliant, plugged-in operator from Michael's (Jeffrey Donovan) past who may soon hold the keys to his future.

-- Lennie James, who recurred as veteran pimp and mentor to pimp-in-training Tanya (Jane Adams) on HBO's comedy Hung this season, has been upped to a regular. He is with ICM, manager Jeff Kolodney and U.K.'s Independent Talent.

-- Patty Duke and Alex Frnka have joined Lifetime's telepic Unanswered Prayers. Produced by Sony, the movie based on the Garth Brooks song, centers on a couple (Eric Close, Samantha Mathis) who have their lives turned upside down by a woman (Madchen Amick) who returns home to their small town. Duke, repped by Mitchell K. Stubbs and Assoc. and Precision Entertainment, plays Mathis's mother. Frnka, repped by Innovative and Precision, plays the girlfriend of the couple's son.
