"Entourage" will end in 2011, executive producer Mark Wahlberg says. At least on television.
Wahlberg says that the HBO series, which begins its seventh season on June 27, and it will conclude early next year with a six-episode run. Then it could be on to the big screen for fake movie star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his boys.
"I am more focused on making that movie than my own films," Wahlberg tells MTV News. "I just think we can make a great movie. I think people always wanted [it] and have complained that the episodes are too short. ... I think we're going to do it."
The upcoming season of "Entourage" will find Vince becoming a thrill addict -- much to the dismay of E (Kevin Connolly) and Ari (Jeremy Piven) -- after an accident on the set of an action flick. Ari also has a new assistant now that Lloyd (Rex Lee) is an agent himself, representing Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon). Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), meanwhile, is attracted to an employee (Dania Ramirez) of his new car-service business.
Wahlberg says he sees a six-episode coda to the series airing in 2011, "and then in the trailer [for the movie] you see [Ari and Lloyd] waking up together in Vegas, not knowing what happened."
