Lionsgate is adapting Stanley Park, a pilot it produced in the UK for the BBC, for the US market. Giving the keynote speech this afternoon at the Mipcom TV market in Cannes, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer said that Fox “loved it.” Writer/creator Leo Richardson is now working on the pilot script, he said. The BBC though still hasn’t made its mind up. “Shame on you,” Feltheimer said. Netflix’s current 90-day window for streaming movies after they’ve debuted on the Epix pay-TV channel could be brought forward, Feltheimer revealed. “There’s nothing sacrosanct about the 90 days,” he said. Lionsgate launched Epix 10 months ago with Viacom, Paramount and MGM. The mini-major is also in negotiations to launch more overseas pay-TV channels. So far, Lionsgate has launched Tiger Gate, an Asian pay-TV joint venture with Haim Saban’s Saban Capital Group; Asian action channel Kix; and horror/thriller channel Thrill.
