There has been a lot of buzz in the past few days about a new drama project from writer Rod Lurie that has Kevin Spacey attached to star as a charismatic cult leader. The project, which was targeted for cable, has garnered interest from several places but I hear it may ultimately land at Showtime. Talks with the pay cable network are under way and Spacey has said he is a fan of Showtime. For Lurie, this would be the first series project since ABC's Commander In Chief. In TV, Spacey most recently starred in the HBO movie Recount.
