The Office Romance Roundup: Scoop on Dwangela, Jam and—Hott?!

The Office's Michael Scott and Holly Flax desperately need a li'l nickname to define their love, and we've got the perfect one: Presenting (drumroll, please) Hott!

You love it, right? Well, you better, because we're stickin' to it. And to further celebrate tonight's return of the NBC hit, we're breakig down all lovey-dovey things ahead for Dunder Mifflin's seventh season—with a little help from Office boss Paul Lieberstein (Toby), of course...

The Office Lovebirds:

Michael & Holly: "I'm really excited about Amy Ryan returning," Paul gushed of everyone's favorite Scott soul mate. But hold the excitement just a tiny bit longer, because her return is a way down the road. "Holly comes back around the middle of the season. Toby will go off on jury duty, on the jury of the Scranton Strangler who strangles people within an inch of their life, but doesn't kill them. And that's when Jo (Kathy Bates) comes through and brings Holly back." And a happy reunion it's not. "She's in a serious relationship back in Nashua, so she's not thrilled to be back," he tells us. "But Michael's (Steve Carell) not a guy who gives up easily." Let's just hope Holly comes around quickly—didn't she get the memo about Michael leaving?!

Jim & Pam: The Office's core couple is reverting back to the playful twosome we knew and loved—with baby Cece in tow! According to Paul: "We'll see the baby sometimes. We're going to a christening, and they're going to get a babysitter and try out Erin (Ellie Kemper) at some point. We don't ignore the fact that she's there, but for the most part we're getting back to fun Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) playing pranks on Dwight (Rainn Wilson)." Ahhh, just like the good ol' days.

Dwight & Angela: Sorry, Dwangela shippers: these two are still at a serious stalemate in season seven. "Angela (Angela Kinsey) is much more interested than Dwight," explains Paul. "Dwight was the one who ended their relationship. And now she's got five contractual agreements that she's using as a way to get Dwight back. Angela's got a plan, and we see her plan play out in the fall." But wait, there's still hope! Paul is actually Team Dwangela: "We start Dwight in a place where he's really not ready for her, but I always thought they're meant for each other. It'll be a slow road."

The Office Outsiders:

Pam's Ex (Not Named Roy): We love Timothy Olyphant from his work on HBO's Deadwood and FX's Justified, but if you come in and start messing with Jim and Pam, you're goin' down. "He's coming in as Danny Cordray, a salesman," Paul reveals. "He and Pam went on a couple of dates while Jim was dating Karen, but it's not that he's a threat, because there's no real threat to Jim and Pam. It's just not fun." Sigh. At least Tim will look pretty while trying to bring down Jam. "He's a charmer, adds Paul. "He's a slick charmer who can make anybody like him. But he's a competitor of Dunder Mifflin." Paul adds that as of now, Tim is set for two eps, but they're hoping he'll stick around for more.

Jim's Ex (Not Named Karen): Amy Adams is a movie star now, but whatevs. We'd love to see her back on The Office as "Purse Lady" Katy. "We talk about it a little bit and would love to see her back, but we don't have any plans right now," says Paul. Still, there's hope.

Jan: Dun-dun-dun, the dreaded ex returns! But seriously, this storyline sounds too good to be true. We'll let Paul explain: "The first time we see Jan back it's because Michael has a cold sore, and he learns that it's herpes and decides to contact all the women he's ever been with to tell them that they have herpes. So he goes to see Jan at her new place of work." OMG.

The Office returns tonight at 9 p.m. on NBC, so do not miss it.
